This is actually a dream come true!
Last July, I opened a new domain on wordpress to give space to my much awaiting comics, which is The Zero Calorie Adventures of Milk and Coffee. It’s a bunch of Filipino (Tagalog) comic strips that focuses on the friendship of the characters Milk and Coffee and friends.
The story line came out of no where, when I kept on wearing my weird shades and I started drawing my mini me. That’s explain why ‘Coffee’ had this bug-eye/heart-shaped shades. While the other characters are based on people I encounter and some friends.
The comics is in Tagalog, so sorry for the English-speaking fellas who are following me. It’s actually a risk because I don’t have an idea how it will go since I’m never familiar with the local SEO and how the new site’s Google ranking will climb up. Plus the fact that it’ll be composed of mostly images, I think it will be a great challenge for me.
But anyway, to my Filipino friends here, please support The Zero Calorie Adventures of Milk and Coffee. I’d appreciate it if you will follow and like our posts both on blogs and Facebook.
Just kindly go to these link and hit like:
Thank you so much!
This blog will never close, by the way. I have plenty of poems to share to you, so please, please stay tuned!
During my recent reminiscing — or let’s say a contemplation or realization session all by myself– moment in my bed, I realized that I have lost so much things and opportunities in my life that I should have been doing in the past few years before I reach this certain level of my age. Maybe if I have been doing these certain things I like, I perhaps master those fields already and i
One of those skills I’d like to highlight is none other than swimming.
I love water a lot. I enjoy being at the beach, to feel its waves and other health benefit it gives me, and I thought of it every time people mention about going out of town. I also enjoy lap training in swimming pools. But that skill didn’t work out that well, because I didn’t practice regularly. I felt it like it’s my dying skill.
To give solution to that and to revive my frustrated Olympic swimming skills, I just came back from my so called “training”.
During the training, I could literally feel the horse beneath the shortness of my breath, the lack of movement control in the water and my speed has gone bye-bye. The thing remained in me is my gift for backstroke — I still does it good. To be honest, I think I’m one of those who needs a trainer to know the basics again.
I don’t easily give up, though. I just feel the need to get things back again, just to make sure that I won’t get rotten and I won’t go home defeated in the upcoming company sportsfest.
So if you are reading this and you’re still doing something you love, I’ve got a great tip: “DO NOT STOP!” But if you must do, do all things you can to start it all over again. Never remove it from the corners of your neck.
See yah! Happy Summer, Philippines!
Hey, I’m back!

Now, let’s go with the interpretation.
As far as I remember, it was around 10pm that night when I started to get ZZZzzz’s and had this dream, Then I woke up around 7am — completing more than the 8 hours requirement. It was never new to me because I think I was in college when I dreamed about the Fire Tornado, which I also posted here in this blog (see post here and interpretation.)
Both dreams (Fire Tornado and Ash Fall) weren’t connected anymore, unlike those others that I already forgot. But I noticed that they are somehow related to fire and an apocalyptic event, so I’m going to use that in search of interpretations in the internet. And good thing, there well detailed websites to discuss what I had in my very long dream.
By the way, I’m not really a fan of interpreting my dreams with the use of online dream interpreters, but I bet it somehow helps connect the dots of what’s going in both dimension of my life. Hence, I found what Ashes meant in my dreams at Dreamnest and I’m going to quote:
Ash is in a dream often of remorse and grief. The dreamer is aware that he has behaved in a situation of over-anxious and stupid and that he can change it any more. This situation has been completed. After an event has gone over, or a person from the life of the dreamer, he dreamed of a burnt-out fire, perhaps, the only remains of the ashes. Ash can announce that expectations and hopes will not be fulfilled. You can also refined rise from the ashes, so that the symbol represents in part the personal growth in a crisis, you will succeed. If you collect ashes, may still be a large, unexpected financial gain.
The ash is in a dream symbolizes feelings extinct, exhausted forces, lost interest in a matter or person, indifference or resignation. Located in the ashes still glow, it means maturity, personality development, self-reflection or catharsis. In order to interpret the dream completely, it is important to know what is or has been burned. Ash may be on the psychological level of grief. When she appears in a dream, then it may be an indication for the dreamer to escape a long grieving process already pending in any longer. From his experience, only ash remains. Ash points to the conclusion of a matter: It has burned a little and gets a sense like a phoenix from the ashes. Sometimes you have also acted wrongly and then spread as a penitent “ashes on his head”, or it is sad for any reason and will – according to biblical model – “in sackcloth and ashes.”
Ashes symbolizes purification, repentance and death, the mortal human body and its mortality.
– to dream ashes is not a good sign: it is a symbol of mourning, of death and disappointment;
– see a lot of ashes: one will be bitterly disappointed and deeply offended;
– soil himself with it: anger, sadness;
– ashes scattered: close mourning, bereavement;
– collect: capital appreciation;
– in the ashes fall into or come into it: a risk of losing money; caution in all financial decisions;
– for the farmers: crop failures;
– for the dealer: unsuccessful businesses.
– see that your earnings will be low: sorrow and remorse;
– or see it go: you’re greedy, but will achieve nothing so;
– sprinkle: you are in for a bereavement;
– collect: you have to expect an inheritance;
– fall into it: you lose a lot of assets;
– sprinkle: to suffer loss.
It’s kinda scary that it might be connected to the financial aspect of my life, particularly my money and job. But at some point it talks about my spirituality as well, which is more relevant, I guess, especially that the scenes I’ve seen in the dream was very apocalyptic in style.
On the other hand, burning people were also related to my spirituality, because fire could mean cleansing and devotion. I’m currently having struggles with that, to be perfectly honest, and at some point I need a renewal of my faith.
But yeah, as I’ve said I believe that our fate is always in our hands. This can serve as warning to us or me in particular, but we should never revolve our lives in this interpretations. Take control, it’s all up to us.
Thank you for the most wonderful life you’ve given me. Thank you for my job, the food I eat, my family and friends who support me and others simple and great things that are happening to me. I thank you for the protection that you have given and for answering and giving hope to my prayers. Thank you for allowing me to write poems of different themes, for the knowledge that you’re giving me and, most especially, the talent that you lend me.
Every time I search the Internet to find inspiration about life, I see things that put pain in my heart and great conscience in my mind. I feel stressed every time I turned quiet with this things, but you’re giving me a way to vent this out by means of all things I write, that’s why I recover and go back to my normal life.
Lord, I pray for what’s going in the middle east, where people are being burnt alive, beheaded and killed in different ways. Most of these people are your people and I truly believe that you care for them. I could not write things about them because I don’t know what they feel, and I could not describe their face because I wasn’t there. But, Lord, I felt their fear and faith mixing together. Dear God, I know how it hurts you, although you’re strong. I know how these things make your knee fell to the ground, in spite that you are the greatest of all. I know, because you love them. And love always break if you see the people you love die or suffer or be at the horrible condition. Lord, hear their prayers. If all these things are destined to happen as far as the Bible is concern, let your people find you in the middle of the problem. Count their faith; not their fears. Count their worships; take note of their tears. This is not a command, O Lord. But I humbly ask your holy name of this.
For the people who are doing this, I don’t want to call them enemies. They might have purpose that we don’t understand or a demand that people misunderstood. I pray for them also that they might find satisfaction on great things about you, instead of this brutality. Remind them their loving families, so they’d stop putting blood of other people in their hands. Grant them great visions of their happy childhood, so they’d know good things that are better than crimes. Remind them of their mothers or fathers who carried them when they got sick or hurt, so they’d carry others too with care. Remind them of the first milk they drunk, so they’d remember the children they helped at some part of their lives, and never hurt children anymore. Support them with your love, so they’d know who you are to them. Fill their minds with fair judgment in that way they could spend their lives more with friends and those who love them, rather than spending life in fun with killings. Let them smell the sweet turkeys in oven, so they’d reject the smell of the burning people and never do it again. Grant them peace in their hearts and forgiveness, I pray.
For the people who you are calling your people, grant them peace in their hearts as well. We need more patience and strength and perseverance so the crave for revenge won’t eat us and love reign among us. Cure our differences so that we become one, as your body is one. Make us a good example by nurturing us with wisdom that would burst to the world and make them followers of you, not us. I pray that we surrender ourselves to you, and be focused on our faith that’d healing our mind, body and soul. Help us become you — patient, loving, just, healing, forgiving.
I prayed for those who already died. Let their soul find comfort in you. Let your promises wipe their tears as they look up from their graves, waiting for you. Let them see heaven and may you guide them there. Let their faith make them who you wanted them to be, and forget their shortcomings in Earth.
Lord, I am truly blessed with your mightiness and that you are what I called my God. Grant my prayers as you always do.
In Jesus’ Name I pray this. Amen.
I’ve finally bought a new laptop and it’s a Toshiba Laptop S40t-AS102 with a touchscreen 14-inch display and running with Intel Core i5-3337U (1.8GHz, up to 2.7GHz, 3M Cache), 4GB DDR3 memory and Nvidia N14P-GV2 with Optimus Graphics. I don’t want to elaborate too much on the specs of this one, but I thinks it’s enough to resurrect my dying online gaming experience. Most especially with Granado Espada.
But yeah, this new laptop has a excellent performance, except when the windows 8 crushes with failed configuration while updating. It took me overnight waiting for nothing. But it was fix after some restoration, and “Whoala!” I’m really back! I realized that it was really a problem with Windows 8 and it has nothing to do with the overall performance of this laptop. Anyways, it’s fully-functional now.
To be honest, this laptop is the messiah of this blog. I could not use other devices anymore like my phone because it’s somehow hard to control some features like adjusting photos and uploading files without too much effort. Laptop or PC are the best friends of my wordpress, really. (And I guess wordpress should work on their mobile app really, really hard because of that).
So what will you be expecting now? Well, expect more arts, poems and, still, gaming posts. This is surely my come back after saying “I’m back for real”.
There were lots of challenges in 2013 that hindered me to blog and be active on most of my social networking accounts. I know many factors, like personal, financial and family issues, should not excuse me from writing and doing what I love, but it simply happened.
Despite of the challenges I’ve encountered last year, 2013 still ended up very graciously and efficiently. That was the year I survived in my career, I managed to live alone, I’ve moved on from relationship heartaches, I started to shape up my body, I’ve finally got other dream smartphone unexpectedly — which adds the reason I should be blogging now. I also found myself ENJOYING my SINGLE LIFE without putting too much blame to anyone else. I’m not ready to enter a new relationship yet, but I won’t be closing my doors. I just want to enjoy and do the things I really missed.
By the way, going back to the smartphone, I’ve finally got my much awaiting Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It was an advance Christmas present by a very close friend, and I could not deny that I’m enjoying it from the day I’ve got it. To tell you what, I was wishing for it, but I wasn’t really expecting. Because of that, I have managed to personally browse most of its cool features, aside from viewing tons of reviews on Youtube. Moreover, it tweaks my time and I was able to go back to drawing — thanks to its improved S-pen (stylus). I will provide you with more details about my experience with the Galaxy Note 3 after this blog.
To set your expectations, I’ll be putting all my not-so artistic works here, just so you know that I can also draw. Of course, I will be using my Galaxy Note 3 as well.
So there you go. I hope we all get a happy and productive 2014. I wish you all the luck and God Bless.
Plenty of people and businesses have felt the difference between the two ever since online businesses try to be known worldwide. Better understanding on this topic has a big impact not only to gain a specific target number of users or clients, but also on having new users felt their importance by knowing their specific needs when it comes to their languages.
Many have discovered that FREE online translation services (like Google Translate, Babelfish, etc.) are not totally reliable since it’s machine generated, and that translation work are considered still meant for human beings. Online translation could be reliable though only when looking for some synonyms or antonyms, especially when you’re trying to figure-it-out a context of an specific word for a specific sentence; or, when you’re trying to generate non-English characters. It’s helpful but translators should know the limitations when using these.
Many have mistakenly thought that getting the something translated is just as simple as knowing your second language. They are wrong, though.
As you know language evolve depending on the country or people who are using it. There are ways other countries say or write it versus the way the native country use it. For example, let’s say we use one of most admired languages in the world, French. More or less 29 countries use it as their official language, exceptionally France (where it all begun) and Canada (Quebec region) are among the basis of translation.
According to some articles and most translators I’ve spoken with, there’s a notable difference in grammar usage that caught the attention of France during the 1990’s, particularly when dealing with words in feminine form. Add to that difference between the informal and formal. Like when we say the word “now”, France say it as maintenant but in Quebec they say it as astheure.
That’s where localization comes in.
Localization and Internationalization target the proper usage of a certain language of a certain target audience. It was not just simple translation, but an intensive one, because the translators need to neutralize the language depending on the country it targets.
How to search a translator?
If you are wondering how to choose translators, it’s easy.
In my personal opinion, I’d always prefer someone who studies the different usage of the language; otherwise, I would choose someone native but has an excellent background in grammar and vocabulary. You can set their expectations about your target audience and how would like them to translate it.
Make sure you hire at least not lower than 2 translators with equal expertise, so they can proofread, discuss and edit each other’s works.
