I’m Back For Good — To make sure, I bought a new laptop

I’ve finally bought a new laptop and it’s a Toshiba Laptop S40t-AS102 with a touchscreen 14-inch display and running with Intel Core i5-3337U (1.8GHz, up to 2.7GHz, 3M Cache), 4GB DDR3 memory and Nvidia N14P-GV2 with Optimus Graphics. I don’t want to elaborate too much on the specs of this one, but I thinks it’s enough to resurrect my dying online gaming experience. Most especially with Granado Espada.

image

But yeah, this new laptop has a excellent performance, except when the windows 8 crushes with failed configuration while updating. It took me overnight waiting for nothing. But it was fix after some restoration, and “Whoala!” I’m really back! I realized that it was really a problem with Windows 8 and it has nothing to do with the overall performance of this laptop. Anyways, it’s fully-functional now.

To be honest, this laptop is the messiah of this blog. I could not use other devices anymore like my phone because it’s somehow hard to control some features like adjusting photos and uploading files without too much effort. Laptop or PC are the best friends of my wordpress, really. (And I guess wordpress should work on their mobile app really, really hard because of that).

So what will you be expecting now? Well, expect more arts, poems and, still, gaming posts. This is surely my come back after saying “I’m back for real”.

Mr. You’re-Not-For-Me

When I wrote this I was in the shoes of the fabulous Taylor Swift, during her “White Horse” and “Teardrops on my Guitar” era. I wondered how she would thought of a boy that wasn’t really meant for her and the way she would move on.

So here it is… I hope you’d love it.

Maybe you were the perfect guy,
But you’re not for me.
You’ve got the eyes I’m looking for,
You’re not for me.
They said I could find my prince,
But I guess it wasn’t you.
They said I could find love,
I think it ain’t from you.

The moment I realized the truth,
I know this one for you is a fling.
While I gave you my heart,
You were slowly destroying me…

Mr. Prince Charming, I knew you were real.
Mr. Boy-Next-Door, you were sitting right beside me.
Mr. Dream Boy, you were there and you woke up with me.
But mister, mister, mister…

…you are not for me.

I loved to touch the bridge of your nose,
But not anymore.
Your height fits me,
But we ain’t compatible.
They said you’re so cute,
I guess I have to agree.
But when they asked “D’ya love him?”
I said, “you were only just a dream!”

The moment I realized the truth
I know this one for you is a fling.
While I gave you my heart,
You were slowly destroying me…

Mr. Prince Charming, I knew you were real.
Mr. Boy-Next-Door, you were sitting right beside me.
Mr. Dream Boy, you were there and you woke up with me.
But mister, mister, mister…

…you are not for me.

I feel better with you,
Even I’m in the middle of no guarantee.
If I break my leg for loving you, it’s okay,
I’d still continue runnibg my life.

It isn’t about the attention,
It’s about being comfortable of whom I’m with.
Don’t worry, no fishnets is okay.
I don’t eant to be ridiculed, by the way.

Hookah-hooker boots,
I love you like my hooker boots.
My heart will tell you what’s the roots.
I love you like my hooker boots.
Don’t care of what they say.
You’re the only one who fit this way.
Baby, together we’ll run away.
I love you like my hooker boots.

Let’s zip up forever.
And lace our trust to one another.
Won’t do something that would break your heart.
I can’t imagine we’ll fall apart.

I love your skin on mine.
I will take you with me in every miles.
I will never ever leave you…
You’re my hooker boots every night.

Hookah-hooker boots,
I love you like my hooker boots.
My heart will tell you what’s the roots.
I love you like my hooker boots.
Don’t care of what they say.
You’re the only one who fit this way.
Baby, together we’ll run away.
I love you like my hooker boots.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 — In my View.

I could not imagine myself holding a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 this 2014. Thanks to my friend who became very supportive to me to complete my goal last 2013, and now I own my dream phone. As much as I don’t want to let go of my Samsung Galaxy S III, I have to give it to someone who dreamed of having it — I apologize to my Mom, someone wished for it first (IIRC). Haha!

This device is more than what I’ve expected. The fluidity of the screen, the built-in storage, RAM capacity, plus the new features of the S-Pen got me really impressed even though I’ve seen it a lot from different reviews in the world wide web. I could say that you really need to get hold of it before you could say that it’s really a fantastic smartphone from Samsung.

Design

The design was very sophisticated because of its faux leather (plastic) back cover design. It’s very light, and very handy as well, even though this device is really big. It has 5.7 inches (with 1080 x 1920 pixels) display that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, which is perfectly good for viewing experience. S-pen is still located at the lower right, back corner of the smartphone. It’s quite hard to pull from from its space, and the reason behind, I think, is that Samsung has designed it to anticipate the chances of losing the stylus. Loud speaker is already located at the bottom part of the device as well, which made the speaker sound more efficient, so you won’t need a mount or external speakers anymore. As for the USB slot for charging and transferring files, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is now using micro USB 3.0. It enables the device to speed up the file transfer and charging. Don’t worry though as it could still use the microUSB 2.0 cable. Moreover, Remote IR is located on top of the device, right near the 3.5mm headphone jack slot. Sensors and the front-facing camera are all at the right side of the call speaker (unlike with Galaxy S4, on both sides of the speaker), but it still functions well in recognizing air gestures.

Feautures & Built-in Apps

Specs

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is running Android Jellybean 4.3 with the latest version of TouchWiz. It can run with fantastic fluidity because of the Quad-core 2.3 GHz and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors and chipset and 2.38gb of RAM — actually, 3gb RAM in total — the rest of the RAM is used when the phone is idle. Because of that, I enjoy more on maximizing the multi-window features and other high-graphic games and sketching apps. I just hope it would be as stable as this in the future. It’s  capable of finding LTE connection, date plan users — I believe you can ask your network to provide you the LTE set-up if you’re jumping from a non-LTE device and sim card to maximize your internet speed experience.

Lockscreen

The lockscreen is now more efficient to use. You can now do some activities without unlocking  your phone. You can either choose your list ‘Fave App’ or ‘Camera App’. You may also activate your ‘S note’ for immediate use. And the awesome part here is that once your music player is on, it can show you your playlist and choose a song directly from it.

By the way, you can also add a ‘Personal Message’ in the lockscreen as well.

S-Pen

Most of the features are quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4 features particularly the Camera, Menus and Navigation. But one of the things that make the Galaxy Note 3 standout is the new S-Pen features that would captivate your Note 3 experience. By clicking the S-Pen button, the Air Command will give you access to 5 menus — the Action Memo, Scrapbooker, Screen Write, S Finder and Pen Window.

image

  • Action Memo – pops a notepad up and then allows you to put notes on it and do cool features with it, like saving, calling, texting or emailing a contact; directly searching to the internet, finding a place.

image image

  • Scrapbooker – allows you to save pictures or screen shot. It could be perfect if you love taking screenshots and putting note on it. Simply select the Scrapbooker, draw a square and it captures the target object. It’s not an ordinary screenshot, though. It provides information like the link where you got it.

image

  • Screen Write – it’s almost the same as the Scrapbooker the only difference here is that you can write or draw directly from the screenshot. It’s good for highlighting things in the images.

image

  • S Finder – Find everything in your phone by using it.  Apps, photos, files — Everything. In the picture below, I tried to look for the “Sketch”.

image

  • Pen Window – it’s almost like the Multi-Window feature. It gives power to your phone to open small windows of apps, like YouTube, Contacts, Calculator, Browser and more.

image

Speaking of securing your S-Pen, there are few options in the ‘Settings’ that would keep your S-Pen in mind so you won’t lose it.

image

My Magazine

It was a cool feature that has been added to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. You get to read and see update from your favorite News and Social Media sites in a Flip board style.
image

S Note & Evernote

To get your writing experience on the top level, this device is also empowered with the note-taking apps. It’s either you use your S-Pen or tap on your touchscreen keyboard, it’s fine.

(S Note – Left; Evernote – Right)

Sketchbook for Galaxy

Most fantastic built-in app for me is the Sketchbook! I love to draw that’s why. I’ve tried this app on my friend’s Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and it was a great experience. But the smoothness of the of the Note 3 adds awesomeness in the app. I was able to get some training in this app. I will post some of my works here on blog after this blog.

—————–

My overall experience so far is awesome, I’m getting what I need from this phone.  One thing I’ve noticed, but this is not a major issue of this device (it could be the app), is that the My Magazine app doesn’t totally close even if you keep on hitting back. It keeps running in your RAM. It could be helpful for your battery if you clear your RAM often.

It’s 2014 and We’re Up!

There were lots of challenges in 2013 that hindered me to blog and be active on most of my social networking accounts. I know many factors, like personal, financial and family issues, should not excuse me from writing and doing what I love, but it simply happened.

Despite of the challenges I’ve encountered last year, 2013 still ended up very graciously and efficiently. That was the year I survived in my career, I managed to live alone, I’ve moved on from relationship heartaches, I started to shape up my body, I’ve finally got other dream smartphone unexpectedly — which adds the reason I should be blogging now. I also found myself ENJOYING my SINGLE LIFE without putting too much blame to anyone else. I’m not ready to enter a new relationship yet, but I won’t be closing my doors. I just want to enjoy and do the things I really missed.

By the way, going back to the smartphone, I’ve finally got my much awaiting Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It was an advance Christmas present by a very close friend, and I could not deny that I’m enjoying it from the day I’ve got it. To tell you what, I was wishing for it, but I wasn’t really expecting. Because of that, I have managed to personally browse most of its cool features, aside from viewing tons of reviews on Youtube. Moreover, it tweaks my time and I was able to go back to drawing — thanks to its improved S-pen (stylus). I will provide you with more details about my experience with the Galaxy Note 3 after this blog.

To set your expectations, I’ll be putting all my not-so artistic works here, just so you know that I can also draw. Of course, I will be using my Galaxy Note 3 as well.

So there you go. I hope we all get a happy and productive 2014. I wish you all the luck and God Bless.

XOXOXOXOXO
